Healthy World Cafe

An innovative café with a heart coming soon to downtown York. The Healthy World Café will partner with local farmers to buy seasonal ingredients and partner with the community to recruit volunteers to help staff the restaurant and serve food. A variety of menu options will be offered each day with suggested prices; patrons can choose their own portion sizes (reducing food waste) and then pay what they want. “GASLAND” Movie Showing

Thursday, March 31, 2010 – The Sustainability and Environmental Studies Program at York College will present the documentary “GASLAND”. This award-winning documentary film exposes the possible hazards of domestic natural gas drilling. Gas companies have turned their attention to the massive Marcellus Shale Field that stretches from the Catskill region of New York to West Virginia.
