The Healthy World Café will partner with local farmers to buy seasonal ingredients and partner with the community to recruit volunteers to help staff the restaurant and serve food. Thursday, March 31, 2010 – The Sustainability and Environmental Studies Program at York College will present the documentary “GASLAND”. This award-winning documentary film exposes the possible hazards of domestic natural gas drilling. Gas companies have turned their attention to the massive Marcellus Shale Field that stretches from the Catskill region of New York to West Virginia. PA residents be heard! The Delaware River is a drinking water source for more than 15 million people. This majestic waterway could soon be opened up to dangerous Marcellus Shale gas drilling along with all of the toxic chemicals & pollution.
