Free Showing of GASLAND

On February 9, 2012, the film “Gasland” will be shown at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of York, 925 South George Street, on Thursday, February 9th, at 7 p.m. The showing is free of charge and open to the public. This powerful film addresses the effects of fracking–the hydraulic extraction of natural gas from shale–on our water supply and other aspects of the environment.

Fracking is already happening in Pennsylvania and there are strong pressures to expand it. How shall we advise our legislators and Governor Corbett on this important topic? This film shows a side of the story that has been largely suppressed but is incredibly important. Questions should be directed to Paul Duryea, paul.duryea@yahoo.com.
